Info: The company's roots go back to the year 1821, when a Greek tobacco trader named Basil Mouratoglou established a cigarette manufacturing business under the name of B. Muratti in Constantinople, Turkey. After the Ottoman Empire monopolised the tobacco industry, he moved the company to Western Europe in the 1880s. In 1885, a company was established in Germany, shortly after another one in London. The English company ended up under Philip Morris International. The German brand was bought by Martin Brinkmann in 1960 and belongs to British American Tobacco now.
